Growing up, I was terrified of failure. I guess it was the perfectionist character in me. I used to think successful people found success only because of their meticulous planning and hardwork. Then things naturally fell in place for them without any hitches. This stifled my professional growth for a long time because I felt that experiencing a setback meant the end of the journey for me. But over the years I've learnt something: In an imperfect world, setbacks will happen. It doesn't mean you aren't on the right path. You can do all the planning in the world and things could still go haywire. You have little control over them. But how you choose to deal with it will define what happens next. The path to success is littered with moments of failure. Someone once told me, 'Setbacks are just a setup for a greater comeback'. So don't beat yourself up. Don't cry over spilt milk. The milkman will come again the next day. 😉 Hang in there. It's only for a season. You will rise again. Wishing you a productive week!
